Classical Singer
Alexandra is an experienced soprano who has performed at notable international venues – highlights include performances at Sacré Coeur and Chartres Cathedral, France. She is a versatile singer who is equally at home on the stage and concert platform as she is when singing in smaller more intimate surroundings.
Having begun her singing training at a very young age at the Junior Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London, Alexandra was honoured to be asked to participate at the Association Of Teachers Of Singing training course for several consecutive years and so was exposed to some formidable teaching which was of great benefit to her as a singer. She relocated to Glasgow where she received her Bachelor of Music with Honours Degree from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (now Royal Conservatoire of Scotland) studying with Helen Lawson and other notable professionals. She has remained in Central Scotland ever since and is currently working with Music in Hospitals and Care (MiHC) and thoroughly enjoying frequent concert work and tours throughout Scotland.
Gifted with a flexible soprano voice, Alexandra offers a vast repertoire to match. She is a classically trained singer who is comfortable in any genre of music, from opera, oratorio, lied, chanson, art songs, songs from musicals, folk songs and more contemporary music.
Alexandra is available to sing at all special occasions and is willing to learn new music to make sure that your day includes the songs which are meaningful to you. She would also be happy to offer suggestions if you are a bit stuck as to exactly what music you would like!
Alexandra is proud to be a member of the Musicians’ Union.
